Plymouth literacy coach to head state board

LYNN GRAENING LYNN GRAENING Lynn Graening, literacy coach at Riverview Middle School in Plymouth, has been named chairperson of the Cooperative Children’s Book Center Advisory Board this year.

The center is a unique examination, study and research library of the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The CCBC’s noncirculating collections include current, retrospective and historical books published for children and young adults, according to its website,

The CCBC supports teaching, learning and research related to children’s and young adult literature and provides informational and educational services based on its collections to students and faculty on the UWMadison campus as well as to librarians, teachers, child-care providers, researchers and other adults throughout the state of Wisconsin.

The CCBC was established in 1963 and is funded by the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction/Division for Libraries and Technology.
