Darrell Louis Conard, age 75, of Plymouth, Wis., passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, Jan. 1, 2013, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan where he had been a patient for one day.

He was born Aug. 26, 1937, in New Franken, Wis., a son of the late Elmer and Ida (Adams) Conard. Darrell graduated from Luxemburg High School in 1955.

On Sept. 5, 1959, he married Karen Ann Robinson at St. Clement Catholic Church in Sheboygan, Wis. The couple have resided in Plymouth since their marriage.

He worked at Borden Foods in Plymouth for 45 years retiring in 2001.

The family celebrated his 75th birthday in August of 2012 and their 50th wedding anniversary in 2009.

Darrell was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.

He enjoyed woodworking, bowling in many leagues in Sheboygan County for over 30 years, was an avid Packer fan and loved sitting on the deck of his house with his wife watching the Milwaukee Brewers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Karen of Plymouth; three daughters: Deanna (James) Lindow of Plymouth, Denise (Mark) Schroeder of Sheboygan Falls and Doreen (David) Lindstrom of Howards Grove; six grandchildren: Garrett and Parker Lindow, Trenton and Kayla Schroeder, and Mitchell and Alexis Lindstrom; one great-grandson, Patrick Brockman; one brother, Jim (Sue) Conard of Ashwaubenon; one sister, Janet (John) Thielen of Manitowoc and one brother-in-law, Charles (Fran) Robinson of Sheboygan; and also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Conard.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Dan Volkert, pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, will officiate. Entombment will be in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum in the town of Sheboygan.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Darrell’s name for The American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
