ARLENE L. STONE

Arlene L. Stone (Miller- Boeldt), age 88, of Plymouth, passed away early Saturday morning, Feb. 16, 2013, at Arbor View Nursing Home in Plymouth where she had been a resident for the past nine days.

Arlene was born Dec. 8, 1924, in the town of Colby, Wis. (Clark County), a daughter of the late Amos and Mathilda Neuhaus Miller. She attended Rhine Center Grade School.

She married Orville Boeldt on April 25, 1942, in the town of Herman, Wis. The couple resided in Rhine Center after their marriage.

They operated in partnership the Miller & Boeldt Implement Dealership in Plymouth until 1977. Orville passed away Oct. 25, 1977.

On Nov. 4, 1978, Arlene married Evan Stone in Plymouth, Wis. The couple have resided in Plymouth since their marriage. For 22 years, the couple wintered in Hot Springs, Ark., where they enjoyed attending horse races and related events. He preceded her in death Dec. 20, 2012.

Arlene was employed with Plymouth Industrial Products for eight years; and also worked at Plymouth Hospital for eight years, retiring in 1986.

She was a member of New Hope Methodist Church in Greenbush and was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth where she also belonged to the Ladies Evening Guild.

Arlene also enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, cooking and bird watching.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (Dan) Schneider of Oshkosh and Nancy Boeldt of Brillion; one son, Steve (Elaine) Boeldt of Plymouth; two stepdaughters, Kay (Mel) Zimmerman of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Karen (Randy) Brehm of Plymouth; two stepsons, Calvin (Shirley) Stone of Sanford, Mich., and Allen (Pat) Stone of Plymouth; four grandchildren: Andrew, Timothy, Jessica and Derek; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Verna Hueppchen of Plymouth; two sisters-in-law, Lydia Miller of Plymouth and Deloris Miller of New Holstein; and also survived by 19 step grandchildren, 41 step great-grandchildren and many greatgreat grandchildren along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arlene was also preceded in death by one sister, Elda Laabs; and five brothers: Harold, Melvin, William, Arnold and Eugene.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Thomas Burton of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth will officiate. Burial will be in Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday afternoon from 4 p.m. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Arlene’s name.
