Amber A. Fischer, age 91, formerly of Elkhart Lake, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth.

She was born in Van Dyne, Wis., on May 29, 1921, daughter of the late Erich and Nellie (Kind) Kulibert.

She attended the Van Dyne Grade School graduating from the Fond du Lac Goodrich High School in 1939. After graduating, she worked for the Tobin Tool and Die Co. in Fond du Lac.

She married Louis E. Fischer on Jan. 20, 1945, at the Episcopal Cathedral in Fond du Lac. They moved to Two Rivers, Wis., and made their home there. She worked for 23 years in the office of Dr. D.A. Kuljis. After retirement, they moved to Elkhart Lake.

Amber was a member of the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and Ladies Guild. She belonged to the Elkhart Lake Study Club and the Elkhart Lake Food and Fellowship.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Staum of Elkhart Lake; son, Robert L. Fischer of Two Rivers; grandchild, Sarah (Josh) Tegen of Elkhart Lake; two greatgrandchildren, Alyssa and Abigail; sister, Doloris Kuehn of Oshkosh; and many dear nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and five brothers, Leslie, Ira, Merlin, Chester and Ivan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Plymouth with Mother Marie Grace officiating.

Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.

The family wishes that memorials be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Amber’s name.
