Pretty Good Eggs club presents infant casket cover

One of the hardest things a family will ever have to do is to bury an infant. Understanding this, and wanting to provide a degree of comfort during this emotional time, the Plymouth branch of Home and Community Education designed and created an infant casket cover to be used during the memorial services. The infant cover has been donated to Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth, WI. The purpose of the cover is to soften the appearance of the actual infant coffin. Members of the Pretty Good Eggs hope the need for this infant cover is minimal, but that the emotional beauty that it brings will come in the form of Love and Peace. The cover is made of white satin, embroidered with a dove--a symbol of peace--and wrapped in a double layer of white ruffles. Kathi Bondi, president of the Pretty Good Eggs club, presented the cover to Father Wayne Bittner from Suchon Funeral Home (above). For more information or to obtain a pattern for making the infant casket cover, contact Dr. Janet Bieschke at 920-892-6867.
