Plymouth woman injured in rollover

Kimberly Thome, 32, Plymouth, was seriously injured in a one-car weather-related accident Tuesday afternoon on State 57 south of Sumac Road in the town of Lyndon.

According to Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department Lt. John Detienne, the department received a 911 cellular call On March 19, 2013 the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Dispatch Center received a cellular 911 call reporting a rollover crash at 3:06 p.m.. Witnesses told the Sheriff's Department the victim’s vehicle was southbound on State 67 when the driver lost control on the snow-covered and slippery roadway, entered the median and rolled over. The driver was ejected onto the northbound lanes of traffic.

Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department deputies, along with Plymouth Fire Department and Plymouth Ambulance, responded to the scene to attend to the driver. She was transported to Aurora Medical Center in Grafton and later flown to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa by Flight for Life.

Two children passengers in the vehicle were uninjured in the crash. The crash remains under investigation, but Detienne said weather was instrumental in creating the conditions that led to the crash.
