LUCILE L. NYSSE

Lucile L. Nysse, age 89, of Sheboygan Falls, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, April 1, 2013, at her home.

She was born in the town of Sheboygan Falls on Dec. 28, 1923, daughter of the late Herman and Elvira (Baars) Kleinhans. She attended Acorn Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School.

On Sept. 20, 1941, she married Norman Matzdorf in Sheboygan Falls. He preceded her in death July 26, 1980. She later married Albert Nysse on Dec. 28, 1985, at Salem Plankroad United Church of Christ.

She was a lifetime member of Salem Plankroad United Church of Christ, where she sang in the choir, and was a member of the Plymouth Bird and Nature Club.

She is survived by her husband, Albert, of Sheboygan Falls; four daughters: Virginia Horneck of Plymouth, Karen Schinabeck of Sheboygan, Beverly (James) Weigel of Cascade and Charlene (David) Buckman of Plymouth; a son-in-law, John Flunker of Parnell; five stepchildren: Sharon (Randy) Odekirk of Plymouth, Lawrence (Jean) Nysse of Plymouth, Daniel (Patricia) Nysse of West Bend, Linda Nysse of Plymouth and DiAnne Kober of Sheboygan; 13 grandchildren: Michael Schinabeck, Sara (Jesse) Wilder, Christina (Michael) Smith, Mark (Nancy) Miller, Russell Horneck, Anthony (Mary) Horneck, Richard (Teri) Horneck, Arlyn (Kelly) Horneck, Dave Richart, James (Ruth) Weigel, Jacquline Veldman, Casey Flunker and Bret Flunker; six step grandchildren: Kendall (Jennifer) Odekirk, Kyle (Melissa) Odekirk, Nathen (Jill) Nysse, Matthew (Nicole) Nysse, Sara (Clark) Kleinhans and Rachel (Jason) Pokorny; 15 great-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Clarice Matzdorf and a step sister-in-law, Elvira Nysse.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman; a son, Lloyd Matzdorf; a daughter, Sherry Flunker; and two sons-in-law, Anthony Schinabeck and Norman Horneck.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Salem Plankroad United Church of Christ in the town of Sheboygan Falls with the Pastor Cheryl Lepak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

A memorial fund has been established in Lucile’s name for Salem Plankroad UCC.
