Timothy August Schaub, age 62, lost his battle with cancer Friday, April 5, 2013.

Tim was born Dec. 28, 1950, in Racine, Wis., to Bernard J. and Martha M. (Braatz) Schaub. The family moved to Inglewood, Calif., in 1953. In 1965 the Schaub family moved back to Wisconsin, where Tim went to school in Waupaca, Wis., and then graduated from St. Mary Springs High School in Fond du Lac, Wis., with the Class of 1969. After high school he attended ECPI in Appleton, Wis., where he earned a degree in computer programming.

In 1971 he moved to California to pursue a career as a thoroughbred horse jockey. He moved with the racing circuit up and down the west coast. In 1981 Tim moved to Plymouth, Wis., where he worked with his dad at Bernie’s Bakery. He has had many other jobs throughout his life and worked the last 20 years at MAS Industries in Plymouth.

Throughout his life, Tim enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his mother, Martha Schaub of Fond du Lac; one brother, Philip (Dianne) Schaub of DeBeque, Colo.; and six sisters: Theresa (Gale) Klatt, Hartland, Wis.; Rose (David Kemp) Cleveland, Fond du Lac; Cynthia (David) Herman, Saukville; Bernadette (Robert) Harvey, Mishicot; Anita (Bradley) Schmitz, Fond du Lac, and Anne (Daniel) Burg, Richfield. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Bernard Schaub and infant sister, Mary.

A time of gathering and visitation will be held at Schneider Funeral Home, 123 South St. in Plymouth, from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, April 9.

A memorial fund has been established in the name of Timothy Schaub.
