Falls wins EWC opener, Panthers finish second

The meet was the EWC season opener. The nine-hole event at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms was rained out April 15.

Andrews shot a 2-over-par 38 on the front nine, followed by Bachmann with a 40. The Plymouth Panthers, who finished second in their first meet of the season, were paced by senior Tyler Siech with a 42.

Falls, the reigning conference champion, totaled 166 (low-four scores) and PHS carded 177. Campbellsport placed third with 187.

Plymouth’s other low golfers were Tony Arnold, tied for fourth with a 43, and Lucas Johnson who was eighth at 45.

PHS won the junior varsity meet with a score of 193 and Falls was the runner-up at 199.

The Panthers were led by Aron Schilsky who placed second with a 46. Bennet Krueger of Campbellsport was the medalist with a 45.

Plymouth’s next highest finishers were Zach Gambrell and Jaryd Larson who tied for fourth with 48s.
