Resorters sweep CLC doubleheader

Elkhart hiked its Central Lakeshore Conference record to 5-3 (7-3 overall).
Charity Rodriguez ignited the Resorters’ attack in game one with a team-high five RBIs and three hits, including a three-run homer. Aryanna Klemme also rapped out three hits.
Klemme was the winning pitcher. She gave up two earned runs on five hits with four walks and five strikeouts in going the route. _
Kim Van Stelle paced the Lady Dutch in hits with two.
GAME TWO
Oostburg rallied for five runs in the top of the seventh inning but came up short.
Emma Gross, Rachael Flora and Rodriguez fueled the Elkhart offense with three hits each. Klemme led in RBIs with two.
Sarah Duenk had a team-high three hits for the Lady Dutch.
Klemme was the winning hurler – walking two and fanning four en route to a complete game.
“We played great defense behind Klemme [in both games]. This was a team effort. The kids played hard both games,” said Resorter head coach Brian Feldmann.
