A walk in the past



The Plymouth Historical Society, in conjunction with the Plymouth High School drama class, will present the Union Cemetery Walk Sunday, May 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. Many of Plymouth's early settlers rest in Union Cemetery which was established in 1854. The cemetery comprises six acres and is located along North Street and Division Street. Visitors may walk at their own leisure and visit various gravesites where re-enactors dressed in period clothing share the stories and history of the dearly departed. The walk starts at the VFW parking lot at the end of Division Street and takes approximately one hour. Maps and information will be provided. Enjoy free light refreshments available in the VFW hall. This is a rare opportunity for photographers and cameras are encouraged. This event is sponsored by the Plymouth Historical Society and is open to the public free of charge.
