Resorters celebrate Parents’ Night with win

The win on the Resorters’ Parents Night upped their CLC record to 2-10-1 (2-11-1 overall).

Raether’s goal was set up by an outstanding throw-in by Rebecca Graf. Shannon Resser made an excellent through-ball between three Eagle defender which led to Ruh’s goal.

“We controlled the middle much better tonight and rotated the girls around, trying to keep them fresh for the second half being that this was the game we played with the warm weather,” said Resorter head coach Kevin Ruh.

Hanna Modahl scored for the Eagles on a penalty kick.

Resorter goalie Leanna Scholten made eight saves and Eagle goalkeeper Cherith Touw had 13.

In other recent CLC matches, Elkhart lost at Oostburg, 3-0, on Thursday and fell to visiting Random Lake, 1-0, on May 14. Hannah Luedtke sparked Oostburg’s attack with two goals.

Scholten had 14 saves in the Oostburg match. Jenna Mehre made four saves in the goal for Elkhart versus Random Lake.
