Resorters’ Holzmann advances to state hurdles

PRINCETON – Freshman Emily Holzmann earned a spot in the Division 3 girls state track meet in the 100-meter high hurdles with a third-place finish at the sectional meet here Thursday.

Holzmann was clocked in 16.64 seconds. She also earned fifth in the 300 low hurdles with a time of 49.90.

The top-four finishers in each sectional event automatically qualify for state.

The Resorters’ other sectional competitor was sophomore Logan Knepfel who took 11th in the boys 110 highs preliminaries in 17.73 and didn’t qualify for the finals.

Saint Mary’s Springs (Fond du Lac) won the girls meet with 78 points and the Ledgers also earned the boys crown with 112.
