HG road projects to start

Gov. Scott Walker has approved $2.5 million for maintenance work on 6.5 miles of State 32 from near State 23 to the north village limits of Howards Grove and one mile of State 42 from the Pigeon River to the north village limits of Howards Grove in Sheboygan County.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, June 3.

The contractor for the project is Northeast Asphalt, Inc., Greenville.

The project includes grading and resurfacing, storm sewer installation and new signage. This work will improve the riding surface and provide a safer environment for motorists.

Both roads will remain open during construction, though there could be lane closures with flagging operations during the day.

The project is expected to be completed by October.

Motorists are reminded to slow down, use caution and remain alert when driving through this or any work zone.
