Big Brothers, Big Sisters honors Falls resident

Sheboygan Falls resident Stacy Grusynski was recognized for her service to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sheboygan County at the organization’s recent 49th annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet at the Blue Harbor resort in Sheboygan.

Grusynski received an award for completing five years of volunteer mentoring service with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sheboygan County.

Bill Kohl of Sheboygan was honored for 35 years of service to the organization.

During his 35 years, Kohl has served as a Big Brother to 12 Little Brothers.

Paul Hertel of Sheboygan, the agency’s program director, was recognized for 25 years of mentoring as a volunteer for the organization. He has been employed by Big Brothers for 30 years.

Lori Walker of Oostburg was recognized for 20 years of service and Chuck Adams of Sheboygan, Barb Arnold of Plymouth, Mike Kerwin of Cedar Grove, Kari Keller of Oostburg and Sheboygan residents Tom Wagner, Crystal Wise and Kerry Zimmerman were each honored for 10 years of volunteer mentoring.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sheboygan County had 403 children matched with caring adults and had a waiting list of 60 children who needed mentors in 2012,
