LaVearna M. Fritz, age 88, a former Plymouth resident, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

She was born Aug. 20, 1924 in Wisconsin, daughter of the late George and Mabel (Schultz) Behr.

On Nov. 8, 1944, she married Edward O. Fritz in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death June 9, 2007.

LaVearna enjoyed reminiscing, crocheting, needlework, miniature bowling and pool. She was a past president and active member of the Eagle’s Club.

Our loving mother is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law: June and James Schipper, Sturgeon Bay; Sally Ludwig, Sturgeon Bay; and Davelle and Steven Frisch, Nashotah; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Pearl Fritz, Manitowoc; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, her husband, and a daughter: Marlene Krueger.

LaVearna was entrusted into our care at the All-Care Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, and a private family gathering will be held in the future to celebrate LaVearna’s life. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Kohler, Wis.

Memorials would be appreciated to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
