Plymouth auto students compete at state

Plymouth High School students Joseph Wimmler and Alex Huibregtse recently competed at the state level in the annual Ford/AAA Auto Skills Challenge.

Joseph and Alex scored the highest at PHS on a written exam and were among the top 10 teams in the state advancing to the hands-on troubleshooting competition May 8 at Milwaukee Area Technical College- Mequon. A banquet honoring the students was held May 7.

During the competition, teams had 90 minutes to diagnose specific things wrong with a 2013 Ford Focus. Both PHS students earned $1,000 scholarships for reaching the state level of competition.
