Meals on Wheels slates June-A-Palooza fundraiser

Metal 3-foot and 5-foot embellished forks are popping up all around Sheboygan County.

These 31 artistic creations were painted by artists of all ages and abilities in support of Meals On Wheels of Sheboygan County in promotion of its new fundraising gala June-A-Palooza, which will be held Saturday, June 22 at Christopher Farm & Gardens in Sheboygan from 3-10 p.m.

“An 8-foot fork hangs in our lobby and has become the symbol for Meals On Wheels of Sheboygan County,” said Kelly Heyn, director of Meals On Wheels of Sheboygan County. “The original fork creations that are around town represent who we serve, a diverse group of individuals who strive to be independent and remain in their own homes.”

The forks will be on display until June 20, when they begin to make their way to Christopher Gardens. Some of the spots the forks can be found in Sheboygan Falls include: Depke’s, B & B Ford and Wally’s Studio and a piece of cake.

At the event June-A-Palooza Co-Chairs Jay W. Christopher and Laura Stayer, will select their favorite fork and award the artist the ‘Royal June-A-Palooza’ prize and $500.
