Gone fifishin’

The Waldo Mill Pond Association hosted the annual Carp Derby on Saturday June 8. The goal of the event is to help manage the carp population in the pond, as well as to provide a day of community building. The association (bottom right), founded by Jack Parrish, Roger Hintz, Chuck McCoy, Jim Ziehm and (not pictured) Jim Kvindlog, John Port and the late Norby Hintz, has been integral in the restoration of the pond and adjacent park. Prizes were donated by area businesses.
