Rockets shoot past Resorters for CLC win

Emperley, the starting pitcher, allowed just two hits in 4-1/3 innings en route to the victory. Niebauer allowed only two hits in the final 2-2/3 frames.

The Rockets exploded for six runs in the top of the fourth to build a 7-1 lead.

Collecting one hit each for the Resorters were Derek Weiss, Tyler Jones, Elliot Van Oss and Cody Wilterdink. A.J. Klemme, Owen Kalbacken and Wilterdink contributed one RBI apiece.

Brett Michaels paced the Rockets in hits with two. Christian O’Donnell scored a team-high three runs.

Resorter starting pitcher Stuart Zelle took the loss. Zelle gave up seven runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks in five innings.
