Howards trailed 3-2 going into the last of the seventh. Andrew Reinemann scored the tying run on Austin Edge’s groundout. Reinemann had led off with a walk.

Fritz got aboard on a single, stole second and advanced to third on Edge’s groundout before scoring on Gabsch’s fly ball.

“We played pretty good baseball in this one – executing fundamentals when we needed to. Everyone got to play and experience a pro field,” said Tiger head coach Mark Weber.

“What a great venue and field. I really enjoy making this trip with our team.”

The Tigers had only four hits but stole an impressive 10 bases, led by Fritz and Terry Fritsch with two each.

Fritz paced Howards in hits with two. Reinemann scored a team-high two runs.

The Raiders’ bats were keyed by Terren Driscoll and Cole Voelker with two hits each. Kiel stole eight bases, led by Jordan Meyer and Voelker with two each.

Edge earned the win after pitching the final 3-1/3 innings. He allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts.
