Flames’ Schroeder, Riverdogs’ Reinemann LOL All-Stars

Pitcher Matt Schroeder of the Plymouth Flames and shortstop Cole Reinemann of the Howards Grove Riverdogs have been named to the Northern Division squad for Sunday’s Land O’ Lakes Baseball League all-star game.

Reinemann was selected as a utility player and Schroeder as a reserve pitcher. The Northern Division will play the Eastern Division Sunday at Saukville at 1:30 p.m.

Schroeder, in his first season with the Flames, was ranked sixth in the division in ERA with an excellent 2.35 going into this week’s league play. He has a 3-1 record with 23 strikeouts, and 38 hits and 15 walks allowed in 38-1/3 innings.

Schroeder is also batting an impressive .400 in the league. Reinemann’s updated statistics were unavailable at press time.

The Northern Division’s starting lineup includes: pitcher – Zach Lauterbach, Cedarburg; catcher – Jordan Clark, Grafton; first baseman – Nick Wycklendt, Grafton; second baseman – Steve Dickmann, Saukville; third baseman – Dustin Kesner, Grafton; shortstop – Kyle Kichura, Port Washington; outfielders – Cole Granrath and Ian Tucker, Saukville, and Brandon Nedoma of Cedarburg; and designated hitter – Matt D’Amato, Grafton.

Cedarburg’s Joe Glynn is the Northern Division’s manager and the coaches are Mike Pruefer of Grafton and Dave Dickmann, Saukville.
