George Franklin Raabe, age 81, went to his eternal home Monday, July 8, 2013.

He was born Feb. 21, 1932, a son of the late George and Meta (Scholz) Raabe. He attended Bethesda Lutheran Grade School and Lutheran High School, both in Milwaukee.

He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 to 1954.

On July 18, 1953, he married Jean Ritger. On July 27, 1963, he married Louella (Burkart) Cutsforth.

George was employed by the Milwaukee Boston Store and Raabe Paint Co., retiring June 1, 1991 after 34 years. He also was a bartender for many years working at the bowling alley and restaurants in Cascade and the Five Pillars in Random Lake.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Louella of Cascade; and three daughters: Dawn Raabe of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., and Debby (Jesse) Downing of Kenosha and Cherie (Pete) Konen of Plymouth. He is further survived by six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, one brother-in-law and three sisters in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade. The Rev. Richard Bidinger, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the CHURCH on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in George’s name for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or the Sheboygan Lutheran High School.
