DALE H. SENGLAUB

Dale H. Senglaub, age 71, of Plymouth, Wis., went home to his Lord Thursday evening, July 11, 2013. He had been a patient of St. Nicholas Hospital and Froedtert Memorial in Milwaukee.

He was born Sept. 20, 1941 in Sheboygan, Wis., a son of the late Edwin and Lenora (Gartman) Senglaub. He attended Dye Road Grade School and graduated from Waldo High School in 1960.

On Jan. 16, 1963, he wed Kathleen Pipping. The couple have resided in Plymouth since 1981.

He was employed by Schneider Transport in Green Bay for 31 years and acquired many safe-driving awards in his driving career.

In 2001, he retired from driving to continue their home restoration business full time until 2010 after which he continued to do construction on a part-time basis with his son, Brian, until his passing.

He was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

Dale enjoyed restoring antique tractors and was a member of Empire Threshing Association.

He also enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, gardening, NASCAR races, tractor pulls, spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Lady. Dale also enjoyed traveling with his wife, Kathy.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Kathy; three children: Carol Senglaub (special friend, Bill) of Sheboygan, Brian Senglaub of St. Anna and Kristin (David) Schisel of New Holstein; four grandchildren: Amber, Logan, Brianna and Tanna; special pets, Lady and Thunder; one brother, Glenn (Janice) Senglaub of Sheboygan; one brother-in-law, Kenneth (Lil) Pipping of Elkhart Lake; two sistersin law, Karen Payne of Plymouth and Gail (Jim) Weber of Howards Grove; and also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service was held Tuesday evening, July 16, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. John Schultz, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth, officiated. Burial was in the Waldo Cemetery .

A memorial fund is being established in Dale’s name.
