Cheesehead Chase draws record turnout

Proceeds from the event benefit the Safe Harbor Domestic Abuse Shelter for Sheboygan County and the Plymouth Professional Business Women’s scholarship fund. The PPBW hosted the Cheesehead Chase which included a five-mile run, two-mile run/ walk and a Cheese Curd Race for ages 5 and under which was oneblock long.

Brent Thiel and Tom Reil of Plymouth were the overall cowinners in the male two-mile race with times of 12 minutes, 48 seconds. Thiel, who will be a junior at Plymouth High School this fall, competed in the ages 15-19 division and Reil was in 50-59.

The overall female champion in the two-mile run was Karly Knaus of Plymouth in 13:42. Knaus was in the 15-19 group.

Sophie Bolich, Plymouth was the overall female winner in the five-mile race with a 31:41 clicking. Bolich, an incoming sophomore at PHS this fall, competed in the 12-14 division.

Josh Dietsche (residence unavailable) was the overall male champion in the five-mile run with a time of 30:08.
