ELLEN M. DVORAK

Ellen M. Dvorak, of Sheboygan Falls, fought a courageous battle but surrendered into the loving arms of God on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the age of 61 with her family by her side.

Ellen was born March 12, 1952 in Antigo, a daughter to the late Orville and Marie (Wissbroecker) Schmidt. She graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1971.

On May 1, 1976, she was united in marriage to Walter Dvorak Jr.

For many years Ellen was the cashier at Magic Car Wash.

Ellen enjoyed her family, especially the time spent with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed four-wheeling, traveling, campfires and the time spent at the family cabin.

Ellen was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, where she served as a greeter and Eucharistic minister. She had also been a leader of the Camp Fire Girls.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Walter Jr.; a son, Robert (Kendra) Dvorak of Plymouth; a daughter, Beth (Jared) Spencer of Sheboygan Falls; three grandchildren, D’Kota and John Dvorak and Kierra Spencer; a sister, Lois (Monte) Larson of Lake Tomahawk; her brothers, Ed Schmidt of Post Lake, Paul (Barb) Schmidt of Sheboygan and Jimmy (Debbie) Schmidt of Sheboygan; a brother-in-law, Roger (Betty) Dvorak of Auburndale and her sisters-inlaw, Joanne McHugh of Altoona, Virginia (Wally) Fleischman of Blair, Violet Guenther of Milwaukee and Delores (Jim) Brun of Chippewa Falls. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ruth and brothers, Donald and Herman; her mother-in-law and fatherin law, Walter and Josephine Dvorak and a brother-in-law, Richard.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Ellen on Thursday morning, July 25, at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. Cremation followed the Mass.

A memorial fund has been established in Ellen’s name.

Ellen’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, St. Nicholas Hospital 5th Floor, Dr. Matthews and his oncology staff and her special friends, Dietz, Linda and Rosie, for all the care and compassion shown to Ellen.
