Entitled, A Point of View, this show includes original paintings by 32 Wisconsin watercolor artists. The exhibit in Gallery 110 North opens to the public on Friday, August 9 and continues through September 27.

The Wisconsin Watercolor Society was the first Wisconsin art organization devoted entirely to watercolor painting and was founded in 1952. The group’s purpose now, as back in 1952, is to demonstrate and exhibit meaningful development in the medium of watercolor and to serve as a catalyst for those genuinely interested in water media. Participating artists in this exhibit come from 21 different communities across the state of Wisconsin.

The public is invited to meet the Artists at the Opening Reception on Friday, August 9th from 5-8 PM at the Plymouth Arts Center, in historic downtown Plymouth. The presenting sponsor for this exhibit is the Mooney & Siegert Law Office. This event is being held in conjunction with the PAC’s annual major fundraiser, the 10th Annual Cheese Capital Jazz Crawl for the Arts being held the same evening. The event includes a silent auction, a live auction at 7pm, live musical entertainment, and food and refreshments. Playing in the PAC Greatroom from 5-8:30 PM are The Stellanovas, and outside in the PAC Courtyard, Jazz n’ More from 4-7 PM and, The Bluetones from 7-10 PM.

Gallery hours are Tuesday- Saturday, Noon-4 PM and Sunday, 1-4 PM. Admission is always free. The Public is also invited to visit the Plymouth Arts Center Gift Shop featuring fine art gifts made by our members.
