LEORA LOUISE THOMAS

Leora Louise Thomas, age 92, of Plymouth, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.

She was born in the town of Schleswig on July 10, 1921, daughter of the late Otto and Norma (Reichwaldt) Henning. She graduated from Kiel High School and furthered her education at the Sheboygan County Teachers College.

On Aug. 14, 1948, she married Herman C. Thomas in Kiel. He preceded her in death July 23, 1994.

She was a member of the Worldwide Church of God in Milwaukee and West Bend where she played organ and piano.

In her free time she enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.

During her working career, she worked for Sargento Cheese and served as the deputy county clerk for Sheboygan County.

She is survived by three children: Gene (Mary) Thomas of Port Washington, Daniel Thomas of Sheboygan and Julie (Gary) Doughty of Westerville, Ohio; three grandchildren: Marissa Molnar of Brooklyn, N.Y.; David Molnar of Columbus, Ohio, and Leanna Molnar of Westerville; a sister, Doris Mae (Merlin) Ninmer of Kiel, and a brother, Everett (Helen) Henning of Kiel. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three sisters, Elvera Voigt, Evelyn Henning and Lorraine Boardman.

Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the Schneider Funeral Home in Plymouth (123 South St.) with Mr. George Isken officiating. Entombment will take place Thursday, Aug. 22, in the Greenlawn Memorial Park in the town of Sheboygan.

Visitation was held Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
