Try Zumbini, tumbling, ropes course

Plymouth School District Community Education and Recreation is offering Zumbini for tots, tumbling for those ages 3 and up, and Adventure Climb for those 12 through adult.

Save $5 by registering early for the following classes:

Zumbini: This new program for those ages 0 to 3 and their caregivers combines the science of child development and the magic of Zumba to provide first steps toward a healthy, active life. Class will meet with instructor Judy Mooney from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays from Oct. 1 to Dec. 17 at the Plymouth Youth Center; fee is $43 per pair ($34 for district residents ages 62 and up) until Sept. 20, then $48 ($39).

Tumbling/Gymnastics: This collaboration with the Sheboygan County YMCA offers floor work, tumble track activities, balance beam and parallel bars. All classes meet on Mondays from Sept. 30 to Dec. 16 at Plymouth High School; fee is $60 until Sept. 20, then $65. Preschool classes for ages 3 to 5 will meet from 5 to 5:30 p.m. and from 5:40 to 6:10 p.m; beginners ages 5 to 7 will meet from 6:20 to 7:05 p.m.; and intermediate students will meet from 7:15 to 8 p.m.

Adventure Club: Students ages 12 through adult will explore the ropes course at PHS, with a different element available to try each week. Medium-level elements will be set up, along with new options for the brave. Try the Zip Line, Climbing Wall, Log Traverse, Jungle Gym, Giant Ladder or other elements, under professional supervision. Class will meet with instructor Beau Biller from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays from Oct. 3 to 24; fee is $60 ($47 seniors) until Sept. 20, then $65 ($52).

Online registration is available for most courses at www.plymouth. This option, which carries a $4 service charge, allows people to pay with a credit card and also to receive immediate confirmation of enrollment.

Camp hosts ‘Laughter in the Woods’

‘Laugh in the Woods’ in beautiful Western Lodge at Camp Anokijig.

Please join us Saturday, Sept. 14, for the hilarious antics of the Mc- Mann and Tate comedy group, a steak and seafood dinner, and an opportunity to take home many unique items.

All proceeds benefit children through Anokijig’s Scholarship Program. Come enjoy yourself and support a great cause at the same time.

Fallapalooza time at Camp Anokijig

Come to Camp Anokijig Sunday, Sept. 15 and have a Fallapalooza of a time with family and friends.

Join us from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and enjoy an all-you-can-eat brunch, camp activities, and special events.

Special events include a kids arrowhead dig, carnival games, and kids archery contest with two winners from each age group awarded a week at summer camp in 2014.

Camp activities include boating, giant Voyageur canoe and pontoon boat rides, fishing, archery, kids horse rides, crafts, the Trading Post, and more.

I-pads, tablets stolen from RL schools

More than 500 Apple I-pads and table computers were reported stolen from the Random Lake School District Aug. 29.

According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department report, an investigation determined that an employee of the district was involved in the theft over a period of time.

The investigation is continuing and will be referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s office when completed for charges to be filed.

The reported value of the stolen items is approximately $180,000.

Video posted of burglary suspect

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department has posted a short video and still photos of a suspect in the Aug. 21 attempted burglary of the MSM Mini Mart, 790 Wolf Rd., Random Lake, on its Facebook page – search for Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office.

The attempted burglary occurred at 1 a.m. on Aug. 21. Anyone with information should contact the Sheriff’s Department at (920) 459-3114 or Crimestoppers at (877) 283-8436 if they wish to remain anonymous.
