Tigers sweep Resorters in CLC opener

Junior outside hitter Ali Schueler sparked the Tigers’ attack with 11 kills, followed by Courtney Milz with five. Milz had a teamhigh three blocks.

Autumn Risch led Howards in assists with 21 and was second in ace serves at seven. Schueler paced the team in ace serves with eight and also had seven digs. Valerie Free led in digs with 11.

Emma Feldmann paced the Resorters in kills with three. Emily Holzmann and Claire Feldmann had a team-best four assists each. Sonia Schubert led in digs with 15.

The Tigers improved their overall dual record to 9-2. The Resorters slipped to 1-1 in the CLC (1-2 overall).

“This was a good start to the conference season. I was very pleased with our serving and we were aggressive serving,” said Tiger head coach Brett Damrow.

“We got better as the match went on and stayed focused.

“Some of our younger players saw action and I was happy with how some of them performed. We have so much depth and it’s hard to rotate everyone in,” said Damrow.
