Ebbott’s hat trick sparks Panthers’ rout

CAMPBELLSPORT – Senior forward Cooper Ebbott’s three goals ignited the Plymouth Panthers’ 7-0 thumping of Campbellsport in an Eastern Wisconsin Conference boys soccer game here Tuesday afternoon.

The Panthers hiked their EWC record to 4-0-1 (6-1-2 overall). PHS has shutouts in all of their league matches this season, outscoring the opposition by a whopping 20-0.

“We had another good game. We had the opportunity to play different players in different positions and they all responded well,” said Panther head coach Rommy Herrera.

“Possession has been the key to our success this season and our goal is to keep playing the same way and try to improve in other areas.”

Junior midfielder Nick Stucke contributed two goals and Jack Heginbottom and Eric Majerus kicked one each. The goal by Majerus was on a free kick.

Tom Theisen, a senior defensive midfielder, led PHS in assists with three. Cameron Hauser, Heginbottom and Corbin Dewey contributed one apiece.

Panther goalkeeper Drew Schweiger made one save.
