Riverview library gets makeover



The library at Riverview Middle School in Plymouth had a makeover this summer, with the addition of a new reading center. “It creates a positive environment to promote literacy and the love of reading,” said Sandy LeMahieu, library media specialist. To furnish the reading center, RAPT (the school’s parentteacher organization), Bill and Lynn Graening and the Riverview Student Council donated money to buy couches, beanbag chairs, curtains and accessories. To make room, a computer lab was removed and replaced with a mobile cart of netbooks. “Riverview would like to especially thank the custodial staff for painting and moving equipment and furniture,” LeMahieu said. “It looks great!” The library as it looked before the makeover is shown above, after the makeover below.
