K-9 Retirement



The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department is announcing the retirement of K-9 Orbit, effective Sept. 14. Orbit joined the department in October 2006. Orbit is a 9-year-old German Shepherd. He has worked with his handler, Deputy Tyler Wuestenhagen, since joining the department. Possession of Orbit will be turned over to Orbit’s handler, Wuestenhagen and his wife Jessica. Orbit will enjoy his retirement with the two other family dogs. K-9 Orbit has assisted in hundreds of drug sniffs and searches for wanted/missing persons. He has also participated in numerous educational demonstrations for the public. The K-9 program is funded by the Sheboygan County Constables Association. Orbit is the third of six dogs that were funded by the Constable Association.
