Fresh paint for the old library



A crew from Tom's Painting Service is busy sprucing up the original Plymouth Library building on Main Street as it approaches its 100th anniversary. The library originally opened in 1915, the culmination of decades of effort and providing it with its own building after years of renting space in various buildings. The library outgrew its original Carnegie Foundation-funded space and an expansion was completed in 1989. Library Director Martha Rosche said the library is planning activities in 2015 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the original building.
