County tree and shrub sale on

The Sheboygan County Land and Water Conservation Department now has its 2009-10 tree order form available. Trees can be ordered from now until March 1, 2010, with delivery scheduled for the last week in April.

The program has over 25 different tree and shrub species, as well as numerous planting aids, available for sale.

In response to numerous requests over the years, the program is now selling many species in bundles of 10. Some new species, such as Shagbark Hickory, have been added while others have been dropped.

Packet species as well as quantities have also changed. Also available are food plot seed mixes for deer and upland game birds.

The department will also be offering rain barrels and mulch composters to bolster efforts to promote water conservation, reduce stormwater runoff and encourage recycling.

Although orders cannot be placed on line, order forms and additional tree program information may be downloaded at the department’s Web site at www.co.sheboygan.wi.us. For any additional questions, call (920) 459-1370.

Although the pickup site remains the same as in the past, the department office is now located in downtown Sheboygan on the third floor of the Administration Building, 508 New York Ave.
