GERALDINE (ISERLOTH) HALE

Geraldine (Iserloth) Hale of Wausau, formerly of Lakeland, Fla., passed away on her birthday, Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at the age of 87 years.

She was born in Plymouth, Wis., to Victor and Leota (Runge) Iserloth. Geraldine graduated from Plymouth High School in 1944.

She was united in marriage to Frank D. Hale Jr. on June 21, 1947, in Plymouth.

Geraldine worked for the H.C. Prange store in Wausau for several years retiring in 1985.

Geri enjoyed golfing, crafting, playing cribbage, Green Bay Packer parties, and visiting with close friends. She and Frank were charter members of the Highland Fairways senior community in Lakeland, and enjoyed many friendships there. They were also active in Grace Lutheran Church.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank, in 2009; brother, Kenneth, in 2002; two sons, Timothy Hale in 1973 and David “Mike” Hale in 1981; great-grandson, Micheal, in 1990; brother-in-law, August Chirillo, in 2005; and Frank’s sister, Rita, in 2008.

Geraldine is survived by her son, Robert (Faye Stencil) Hale of Marathon; and daughter, Barbara (Michael) Jesse of Sauk Rapids, Minn. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher (Carrie) Hale, Lori Hale, Tari (Mike) Jacobs, Tania (Ryan) Hale, Stephanie (Branden) Leedahl and Brian (Angela Brix) Jesse; and great-grandchildren, Daniel and Sabrina Hale.

Services were held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wausau, on Friday morning, Oct. 4. Inurnment followed at Restlawn Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all of the caring staff at The Gardens, Stone Crest, and Aspirus Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Geraldine in her last years.
