World Dairy Expo three-peat



Two Plymouth youths took the top two places in the junior division of the 2013 World Dairy Expo Youth Showmanship at the World Dairy Expo in Madison this month. Cole Booth (right) was first in the division while his sister Ava (center) finished second. The competition was judged by Jenny Thomas (left). For Cole, 11, it was the third straight year he has won the junior division and he won the W. Terry Howard award for his achievement. A total of 288 youth from across Wisconsin, the United States and Canada competed in three age categories in the dairy cattle showmanship event. The World Dairy Expo, held every year in Madison since 1969, is considered the largest and most important dairy show in North America. It is also home to the largest dairy-focused trade show in the world.
