The Panthers, who won six of the 12 events, rolled up 144 points. Brillion/Valders/Chilton placed second with 90, followed by Kohler Splash with 89. PHS upped its EWC dual record to 3-0 (7-1-1 overall). A triangular meet counts as two duals.

Roelse had times of 2 minutes, 9.59 seconds and 5:49.47 in the 200 and 500 races, respectively.

“We swam very well. We are very tired and many on the verge of illness. The girls stepped up and we saw many time drops, considering many of them are pretty beat up [from tough practices],” said Panther head coach Mike Slagle.

“It was good to see that fighting spirit the girls had because we have good competition from both Kohler and Chilton.

“I think many of the time drops came because the girls had good competition and a good mental outlook. It’s great to see that we can make time drops when we are as tired as we are,” Slagle added.

PHS won the junior varsity meet with 169 points, followed by Brillion/ Chilton/Valders with 106 and Kohler Splash, 17. The Panthers had three double-winners in Caitlyn Klemme (200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke), Jeni Birenbaum (200 freestyle and 100 butterfly) and Mariana Reynosa (50 freestyle and 100 backstroke).
