Tiger girls third at Brillion Invitational

BRILLION – The Howards Grove Tigers placed third in the girls competition at Tuesday’s Brillion Cross Country Invitational.

Freshman Ashley Reinemann led the Tigers with a seventh-place finish in 16 minutes, 4.39 seconds on the 2.5-mile course. Freshman Hannah Lohrenz of Hortonville was the winner in 15:45.01.

The Tigers scored 97 points in the 10-team meet. Hortonville ran away with the title as it tallied 38, followed by Brillion at 84.

In the boys meet, junior Eric Dvorachek captured seventh with a time of 17:39.71 over 3.1 miles. Greg Greif of St. Mary Central (Neenah) was the champion in 16:37.64. Oostburg’s Adam Daane was the runner-up in 17:11.54.

The Tigers took ninth in the 13- team field with 255 points. Brillion earned first with 77. Oostburg placed third at 88. HOWARDS GROVE PLACE-WINNERS
