Panthers rally to win EWC match

Plymouth’s Alyssa Uribe looks on. — Review photo by Greg Ceilley PLYMOUTH – The Plymouth Panthers celebrated Senior Night with a 25-27, 25-11, 25-21, 25-23 girls volleyball win over the Kiel Raiders Tuesday night at the PHS gym.

The Panthers, who came back very strong after a tough loss in game one, upped their Eastern Wisconsin Conference dual record to 7-3 (22-8 overall). PHS is tied for second in the EWC standings with Sheboygan Falls. Waupun, which swept Falls Tuesday night, leads the league with a 10-0 record.

The EWC Mini-Tournament will be held Saturday at New Holstein, starting at 9 a.m. The tourney matches and the other EWC matches determine the overall league champion.

Plymouth’s seniors who were honored before the match were Alyssa Uribe, Kaylee Kuhn, Mackenzie Haese, Nikki Reil and Kaily Moegenburg.

Madeline Spencer led the Raiders in kills with 13. Brenna Spencer had a team-high 27 digs. Mia Voland paced Kiel in assists with 18.
