Katherine Pannier-Smith, age 61, of rural Adell, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, of cancer.

She was born March 25, 1952, in Sheboygan County. She graduated from Random Lake High School and received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in exceptional education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

For the past 15 years, she owned and operated Fibber McGee’s Gift and Antique Shop in Plymouth, Wis.

Katherine was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Pannier; her brother, Mark Pannier; and her sister-in-law, Rosanne Pannier.

She is survived by her mother, Elinor Pannier; her husband, James Smith; her son, Taylor Smith; her brother, Ken Pannier; her niece, Andrea Pannier and her nephew, Brandon Pannier; and other relatives and many friends.

The family would like to invite everyone to a casual gathering at Amore Banquet Hall (18 W. Mill St., Plymouth, WI 53073) on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m.

In lieu of monetary gifts or flowers, the family would like individuals to donate to their own favorite charity, church or friend in need or send flowers to a favorite aunt or neighbor.

It was through faith, family and friends that Katherine was able to keep a positive attitude through the past four years of her illness. She would like to sincerely thank everyone for their prayers, cards and words of encouragement.
