Jean M. “Jeannie” “KaKa” Klahn (nee Roth), age 74, passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at The Kathy Hospice after a long journey with breast cancer. Her strength through it all is something to be admired.

She was born April 16, 1939, to Melvin and Florence (nee Behr) Roth. She graduated from Glenbeulah High School Class of ’57.

She worked at Amity Leather, West Bend Co., Gehls, and Serigraph over the last 30 years.

Jean will be remembered for her “extreme couponing” before it became popular. She enjoyed playing cribbage and sheepshead, loved giving hugs and filling a room with her laughter. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her children, AmyJo (T.J.) Wahouske and Paul (Patrice) Klahn; grandchildren, Jack and Morgan Wahouske and Justin (Vanessa) Klahn; great-grandchildren, Alicia, Abel and Angelo; siblings, Darlene, Ronnie (Linda), Bonnie (Dave), Steven (BillieJo), Pam and Jenny; and sister in-law, Evelyn. She is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.

A sharing of memories and special music will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend). A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home Friday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
