MacKinnon honored

John MacKinnon, manager of the Plymouth Utilities for the past 31 years, is presented a retirement plaque by Mayor Donald Pohlman in appreciation for his service to the city. MacKinnon managed the electric department, sanitary sewer and water departments in Plymouth for the past three decades, seeing significant growth in the utility service district and the city. In that time, he was involved in a number of trade and work-related organizations, including Diggers Hotline, WPPI Energy and the Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin. “It has been an honor and privilege to conclude my career as head of Plymouth Utilities,” MacKinnon said in accepting the plaque and a commendation resolution adopted by the City Council. “We have accomplished much in the last three decades and I’m confident the Plymouth Utilities team will continue to strive to provide quality service to our customers,” he concluded.
