SHIRLEY ANN AURICH

Shirley Ann Aurich, age 73, of Adell, Wis., passed away early Saturday morning, Nov. 16, 2013, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center where she had been a patient for 10 days.

She was born Nov. 6, 1940 in Cedar Grove, daughter of the late Earl and Ethel (Mentink) TeStroete. She was raised by her father and stepmother, Gladys, at an early age. Shirley attended Oostburg and Random Lake schools.

On Feb. 3, 1962, she married William Aurich in Adell. The couple have resided in Adell since their marriage.

She was employed at West Bend Co. for 34 years before retiring in 2003. She also helped on the family homestead.

Shirley is a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Batavia, where she sang in the choir for many years and belonged to the LWML in the church.

She enjoyed cooking and baking, and especially enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, William of Adell; four children: Rick (Barb) TeStroete of Cedar Grove, James Aurich (special friend, Dawn Stiebs) of Adell, Debbie Aurich of South Milwaukee and Donald (Debbie) Aurich of Sheboygan; five grandchildren: Billy (Jenny) Hafemann of Waldo, Allen Meyer of South Milwaukee, Anna Meyer of Milwaukee and Makayla and Lacey Aurich of Sheboygan; four great-grandchildren: Devin, Aubree, Keana and Jaden; one half brother, Earl TeStroete Jr. of Pembine and one stepsister, Alice “Mickey” Glander of Sheboygan. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother; one grandson, Jason TeStroete; and one infant sister.

Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Kurt Ziemann, pastor of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Lutheran Cemetery in Batavia.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home from 3:30 p.m. Wednesday until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Shirley’s name.
