The new building was made possible through a gift from Johnsonville Owner and CEO Ralph Stayer, who is a Notre Dame alumnus,

The new, three-story facility offers Executive MBAs to 300 students a year. Additionally, the 54,000-square-foot building will house personal development courses, such the executive integral leadership (EIL) course.

The Stayer Center will also offer custom-created courses for corporations and non-profit institutions, as well as supervisor development courses, certificates in executive management, online courses in leadership and international programs.

In total, more than 3,000 students annually will take courses from the Stayer Center.

Stayer noted his involvement in making the new facility a reality is one way he’s living by Johnsonville’s guiding principles.

“Johnsonville has a few key principles that guide the way we operate and do business,” said Stayer. “One of those guiding principles is ‘we learn for life.’ I believe education and learning should be an ongoing, lifelong effort, and I’m proud to support the continued learning efforts of many through this new facility.”

“We very much appreciate the great generosity Ralph and his family have shown the University,” said Al Bucci, Notre Dame director of regional development. “With this new facility, Notre Dame will have the opportunity to meet the needs of many more executive-level students and corporate clients seeking an unparalleled educational experience.”

The Stayer Center for Executive Education, a part of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, is now officially open and serving students year-round.
