JUNETTE M. PIEPER

Junette M. Pieper, 92, of Kiel, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 17, 2013, at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton.

She was the former Junette Meyer, born June 21, 1921 in Plymouth, daughter of the late Herman and Emma (Blanke) Meyer. She attended St. John Lutheran School, Plymouth, and was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church.

On Nov. 10, 1945, she married Harry C. Pieper at St. John Lutheran Church. Harry preceded her in death Feb. 1, 2000.

She was a very active member of Zion Lutheran Church, New Holstein.

Junette took great pride in being a stay-at-home wife and mother and raising her family.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, working in the outdoors tending her garden and flowers as well as watching the birds in her yard. She also enjoyed working puzzles.

Survivors include her children, Gerald (Judith) Pieper, Manitowoc, and Janet (Wayne) Miller, Kiel; five grandchildren: Dan and David Pieper, Melissa (Kevin) Thiel, Kristin (Justin) Groh and John (Tanya) Miller; and great-grandchildren: Gillan, Carter, Braeden and Maverick. She is further survived by her sister, Edith Weilbacher, Plymouth; sister-inlaw, Carol Pieper, Plymouth; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Eugene and John; four brothers, Elmer, Willard, Harold and Raymond Meyer; two sisters, Lucille Habeck and Ovila Katchever; two infant brothers and one infant sister; six brothers-in-law and six sisters-in-law.

Funeral services for Junette will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1702 Van Buren St., New Holstein, Wis., with Pastor Azor Cigelske officiating. Burial will take place in the New Holstein City Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the church Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
