FREDERICK W. BOETCHER

Frederick W. Boetcher, 87, of Sheboygan Falls, died peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls.

Frederick was born Aug. 23, 1926, in Sheboygan Falls to the late Otto and Alice (Chapman) Boetcher. He attended Sheboygan Falls High School until he was drafted into the Army Air Forces in 1942 and served his country until 1946.

On Sept. 24, 1949, he married Virginia Van Engen at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Ginny was the love of his life for 64 years.

He worked at Richardson Brothers Furniture Co. as a tool and die maker for 45 years until his retirement in 1991.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an excellent bowler and an avid family man. Frederick enjoyed spending time with his family using every holiday and birthday as an excuse to have a party and be with them. Until his very last breath, he told his wife, daughter, son-in-law, granddaughters and great-grandsons how much he loved them.

Frederick is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginny”; one daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Petrie of Sheboygan Falls; two granddaughters, Renee Rauwerdink and Sarah (Richard) Pfister, both of Sheboygan Falls; four great-grandsons, Justin and Jared Rauwerdink and Garrett and Jameson Pfister; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Joan (Conrad) Zimmermann, Richard (Jeanette) Van Engen, Demo (Beverly) Van Engen, Mary Lou (Eugene) Beeck, Kathleen (Richard) Kettner, Judy (Wayne) Frank and Gloria (Van Engen) Lorenz. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Verda Boetcher and Gloria (Roland) Pruski; one brother, Robert Boetcher and one brother-in-law, Jerry Van Engen.

A memorial service to celebrate Frederick’s life was held Friday afternoon, Jan. 3, 2014, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with Pastor Mark Janzen officiating.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.
