Panthers’ Brisson, Klecka, Bolland All-EWC first team

The Plymouth Panthers earned 2013 All-Eastern Wisconsin Conference girls tennis honors at all seven positions.

Plymouth’s All-EWC picks are headed by seniors Beth Brisson and Elle Klecka on the first team at No. 1 doubles and sophomore Elizabeth Bolland at No. 3 singles. Brisson and Klecka were 8-0 in EWC matches and Bolland was 7-0.

“Beth and Elle had a great year. Though they were both seniors, this was their first year playing together,” said PHS head coach Jason Jaeckels.

“Elizabeth had a very nice year in her first year playing singles after previously playing doubles in her varsity career.”

Earning second-team honors for the Panthers are seniors Hannah Anhalt and Becca Franzen at No. 3 doubles. Plymouth’s honorable-mention picks include senior Elizabeth Raeder at No. 1 singles; senior Chloe Kastelic, No. 2 singles; senior Sierra McNeil and junior Paige Stoney, No. 2 doubles; and senior Shyenne Genette at No. 4 singles.

“It was really awesome to see every varsity member be recognized as a member of the allconference team,” said Jaeckels. “It was a great way to wrap up a great season.”

Kohler won the EWC title with 49 points (based on league match wins), followed by Manitowoc Roncalli with 48 and PHS, 43.
