Musical thrill

To the Editor:

On Monday night, Jan. 20, Plymouth High School Band Director Jason Sebranek, assisted by Susan Stauber, presented an inspiring hour and a half of precise, professional grade, fun-filled, thrilling music. The three well-rehearsed bands entertained the nearly filled high school auditorium with intricate, pleasing melodies by a variety of composers. One hundred sixty- three high school students held the audience spellbound.

Mr. Sebranek directed the “high point” of the evening with the Angels in the Architecture, by Frank Ticheli. The composer was obviously of TV/Hollywood caliber talent; exhibited in the work, showing all exceptional sections of band from vocal, piano, percussion, and instrumental excitement!

Thank you, Plymouth High School Music Department. We came away asking: “Was that real?”
