Miske, a 145-pounder, and Wiese, at 152, advance to the sectional meet Saturday at Sheboygan South along with teammates Keagan Gustin, a junior who took fourth at 120, and junior Izack Ohman who earned third at 160. The top-four finishers at each regional weight class qualified for the sectional.

It marked the first time since 2004 that the Panthers have earned two regional titles.

Miske, 33-5, decisioned Hartford’s Jared Baizely in the championship match, 6-0. The Panther wrestler, who didn’t allow a single point Saturday, received a firstround bye and then pinned Beaver Dam’s Hunter Braun in the semifi- nals in 5:22.

In the semifinals, Wiese scored a takedown with only 15 seconds left to pull out a 4-3 decision over Slinger’s Adam Beine.

In his quarterfinal match, Wiese pinned Hartford’s T-Dot Jueajoi in 1:05.

The Panthers’ other place-winners included Erik Ohman who captured fifth at 126 and Lucas Johnson who was fifth at 132.

“We were extremely proud of how our wrestlers competed in Oshkosh on Saturday,” said Panther head coach Lucas Lechnir.

“Trevor continued his dominance a week from his conference championship. He was in control the entire day.”

Miske was a D-2 regional champion and state qualifier at 138 last season.

“Austin bounced back nicely after an injury set him back during the conference tournament last weekend by storming through the competition at the regional,” Lechnir said.

Oshkosh West won the regional championship with 206 points. PHS finished eighth with 84.
